Our story

The name is the whole idea.

SVG reads as Scalable Vector Graphics, the format this trade is built on. It is also Savage with the vowels taken out, which is what people call me: Nelson Alma Salvaje. Both readings are true, and both are the point. Vector means it scales without losing quality. Savage means we do things with everything we have, and we do not ask permission.

Our story

Why the name works twice

Scalable Vector Graphics is the technique: work that holds up at any size, from a one-page site to a platform with thousands of users. Savage is the temperament: the most professional and assertive version of doing things, pushing a project until it happens. The studio is named after a format and a way of being, in the same three letters.

Our story

The mark is two people

A lion and an eagle in one figure, with a tail of fire drawn in pixels. The lion is my brother: he was a Leo, and when he died in 2015 I took that archetype and made it mine, until I became the lion. The wings are him too, and at the same time they are my freedom: I am an eagle and I always wanted to fly. The tail burns in pixels because that fire, the passion and the drive, is what I put into the digital craft I work in.

How we work

No middlemen and no recycled templates. You talk to the person who designs and builds, from the first idea to the live site. Small team, senior craft, bilingual by default, working with clients across the Americas, Europe and Australia.

Let us get savage.

Tell us what you are building and we will tell you how we would do it.
